Relocation Services
Move your racking the right way—safe, compliant, and on schedule.
Relocating warehouse racking and shelving is not just a teardown and re-install. Done incorrectly, it creates serious safety risk, damages inventory, and disrupts operations. Big Joe Lift Trucks provides end-to-end coordination for racking and shelving relocations so you can reconfigure your space with confidence—whether you’re moving within the same building, expanding into new square footage, or relocating to a new facility.
What we relocate
We support relocation and reconfiguration for:
-
Pallet racking (selective, double-deep, drive-in/drive-thru, push-back, cantilever)
-
Shelving systems (boltless, rivet, wire, static shelving)
-
Mezzanine-adjacent storage and pick modules (coordination as needed)
-
Rack accessories (row spacers, pallet supports, safety pins, end-of-aisle guards, netting, signage)
If you’re unsure what you have, we can identify rack type, components, and required hardware before anything is moved.
Our process
1) Site walk + scope definition
We evaluate your current setup, take measurements, document components, and align on your desired future-state layout. The goal is to prevent surprises during teardown and re-install.
2) Layout planning and sequencing
We help plan aisle widths, travel paths, staging, and the move sequence to minimize downtime. If you’re doing a partial move while staying operational, we phase the work so you can keep shipping and receiving.
3) Teardown, transport, and re-install coordination
We coordinate safe disassembly, labeling, hardware management, transport, and reinstallation—so components stay organized and the system goes back together correctly.
4) Anchoring and safety requirements
We ensure rack is installed correctly and aligned with required safety elements such as anchoring, load plaques, and protection (guards, bollards, end-of-aisle protection) as applicable.
5) Final walk + turnover
We perform a closeout walkthrough and provide a clean handoff so your team is ready for go-live.
